Pedro Manuel Rodríguez Mondelo is a researcher and lecturer in ergonomics and business organization. His background combines two doctoral degrees, one in industrial engineering and the other in psychology, a rare combination that explains the focus of his work: work design understood simultaneously as a technical problem and as a problem of human behavior.

Determining occupational accidents baseline ratios by considering a synthetic population: The case of Spain, published in PLOS ONE on November 22, 2023, with DOI 10.1371/journal.pone.0294707, co-authored with Olivella Nadal, Calleja Sanz, and Fuentes Ribas . The article declares no specific funding and no conflict of interest, and estimates baseline occupational accident ratios in Spain based on a synthetic population.
ORP International Foundation and ORP Congresses
Order ECD/932/2015, of May 4, published in the BOE of May 22, 2015, registers the ORP International Foundation in the Register of Foundations and includes Pedro R. Mondelo as president of its founding board, according to the deed of constitution of October 31, 2013, supplemented on April 16, 2015. The declared founding purposes are the promotion of the prevention of occupational risks, occupational health and safety at work.
The Foundation’s website as of 2026 identifies him as the director of the organization and of the ORP International Congresses. The Foundation reports twenty-five congresses held and places the ORP2026 edition in Argentina.
Awards
The Polytechnic and Artistic University of Paraguay conferred upon him the title of Doctor Honoris Causa by resolution 80/22 of its rectorate, in a solemn ceremony held on November 8, 2022.
In January 2021, the ORP International Foundation announced his incorporation into the International Advisory Subcommittee of the Foundation for Professional Ergonomics and his appointment as ambassador of that foundation in Spain.
