An agreement to promote best practices in occupational safety and health
Carver University and the Spanish company Sabentis recently signed a framework agreement. Sabentis is a leader in technology and software for occupational health and safety management. The agreement aims to foster cooperation in teaching and research activities. Both institutions share areas of common interest.
The agreement will have an initial duration of five years. Thanks to it, students from the US institution will be able to complete academic internships. They will also participate in other agreed-upon activities. Furthermore, the agreement opens doors to professional development. It also includes joint research and educational programs. This educational initiative connects with Sabentis Academy, the company’s training platform.
Hernán López, Chief Academic Officer of Carver University, expressed his enthusiasm for this collaboration. He also highlighted the institution’s commitment to training leading professionals. “This agreement with Sabentis is a significant step in our mission,” he stated. “We want to offer educational experiences that integrate theory and practice.” Therefore, their Computer Engineering students will be able to apply for internships at a company that is a leader in the automation of occupational safety and health.
Carver University, for its part, encourages its community to stay tuned. New opportunities and calls for applications will be announced soon. These internships give students hands-on experience with the practical application of international standards, such as ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety management.
Training and research in risk prevention
Beyond practical training, the agreement includes joint lines of research. It also encompasses academic projects focused on occupational risk prevention and the digital transformation of preventative management. Ultimately, it reinforces the value of ongoing training in prevention. Research and innovation are key to occupational risk prevention.
